The Gerardo Farm has been a family owned specialty coffee farm since 1962. This farm is not a Solano family farm, but the farm owners have a wide reputation for community employment, dependability, and continuous investment in quality. Located to the south-west of Guatemala’s capital city, this coffee hails from a unique volcanic rich soil and cooler micro-climate.

Receiving 40 inches of annual rainfall, a regular cool breeze from the nearby Lake Amatitlan, and 100% shade coverage, the San Gerardo Farm routinely produces excellent quality “Typica” and “Bourbon” coffee. The farm spans altitudes of 4,500 – 5,000 feet above sea level, ideal for cooler and wetter weather coffee cultivation.
